Public Swimming Pool Bamberg
The pbr AG drew up the plans for the new Public swimming pool in Bamberg, the first to be built in the passive house construction method in Germany. The passive house construction method should reduce heat loss across the outer skin by about 49 %. The main difference to swimming pools built conventionally is in the extensive insulation of the outer walls. 2009– Architektur mit Energie'' –'Energy optimised building 2009 - Building with energy', the design developed by the pbr Planungsbüro Rohling AG, Osnabrück, for the public swimming pool in Bamberg, was honoured with one of the ten prizes of equal value of 10,000 €.
