University of Bochum
In August 2008, the pbr AG was commissioned with planning of two university buildings ID and IDN on the areal of the University of Bochum. The Institute buildings will contain offices, seminaries and laboratories. The ID building with a floor space of 25,000 m² will have a heating and cooling system, consisting of concrete core temperature control, geothermal energy and heat pumps, to achieve a reduction in energy |
consumption. 71 ground probes, at a depth of 150 m, were sunk during the first building phase. The bore results have been compre-hensively documented.
